August is such a bittersweet month. The weather is still hot and the summer fun isn’t quite over yet, but spying the back-to-school supplies and sweaters popping up in stores reminds us that fall is on the way. Lucky for us, we were able to stay in good spirits all month long thanks to all the stellar reviews our fantastic guests left for us! From enjoying summer sunsets on our rooftop terrace bar to celebrating loved ones in our unique wedding reception venues, people had a blast spending time at our boutique hotel! “WOW – what a great hotel! The great experience started at check in. Front desk staff was great, funny and informative. We got help with all our luggage (we are used to doing that ourselves).
We parked in the free lot behind the hotel – didn’t have to pay for valet.
The lobby is comfortable and inviting.
How often does someone talk about the hallways? The hallways were so inviting with the blue lights outside all the doors.
Our room was great. Big and comfortable. Comfortable beds. The bathroom had a barn door. Rainfall shower head. Nice toiletries and big comfy robes. Refrigerator and coffee in the room. There is even an umbrella in the closet for use on a rainy day.
The rooftop bar had a great vibe. We were able to see the sunset and then the lights of the city.
The neighborhood is nice – many shops and restaurants in the area.

“My Favorite Hotel in St. Louis!” 5 of 5 stars
“Moonrise is the best hotel in St. Louis! The hospitality is incredible—they really treat you like family here. Natalie at the front desk was my savior when the big chain hotel I was supposed to stay in unexpectedly had a power outage. She immediately secured a room for me at Moonrise and all of my worries disappeared. She is amazing at customer service and now I can’t imagine staying anywhere else but Moonrise on my next trip. Natalie makes every guest feel like a VIP.
The rooftop bar was a fantastic place to unwind with a cocktail at the end of the day. The decor is fabulous. Will, the bartender at the Eclipse, worked his magic creating delicious drinks and was simply just a joy to talk to. The food is very good as well—I enjoyed the Chicken Confit Tacos on the rooftop and the Bacon & Mushroom Soup and the Charcuterie board at Eclipse.
The Delmar Loop is a really fun area to stay in—great restaurants and entertainment in walking distance. Self-parking at the hotel is free. A bonus was the Aveda products in the room—it felt like a mini spa vacation! Thank you to Natalie, Will, Austin and the entire hotel for a wonderful stay. I’m looking forward to my next trip to Moonrise!”

“A definite ‘must-stay’ hotel in artistic area of St. Louis. Loved the Art-Deco vibe and adult style hotel. Rooms and beds are plush, comfy and super quiet. Moonrise Rooftop bar is beautiful and provides a relaxing view of the city. The Staff is friendly and knows all of the best jazz places and restaurants. We will definitely be back.”

“The Moonrise Hotel is nothing short of amazing. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful and accommodating. Our Hotel of choice was booked and we discovered the availability of the Moonrise Hotel and decided to give it a try. Our company requires us to visit our St. Louis offices on a regular basis, and we have become accustomed to using the same hotel. The online pictures were exactly what we got. No surprises. It was for real. Everyone from the Valet Attendant, the Front Desk Receptionist, to the Host in the Eclipse Restaurant were wonderful. We can’t wait to return. Natalie at the Front Desk gave some great recommendations for dinner and directions for the area. We were extremely grateful for her guidance because we were not familiar with the area.”

“Not what we expected at all when we arrived at hotel. We were here after a stressful day at Barnes Hospital. It was exactly what we needed to end our day, such an amazing interesting place. Went to our room dropped off our stuff and headed right to rooftop bar. We were able to get appetizers and a few drinks and lounge on the comfy outdoor couch and breathe in the night air.
We will definitely be back!!!”

“We got ready for our wedding in one the Moonrise’s Walk of Fame suites. This worked fabulously as the space for the bridal party to get hair and makeup done. We were then able to take our first look photos on the rooftop which was AMAZING! We were able to get some great wedding party photos on the rooftop, in the bar, and on that amazing rainbow staircase!
I love how quirky, vibrant, and fun the Moonrise is, and it was the perfect backdrop for some of our wedding photos. We had a hotel block for our wedding here and the guests loved it as well. On the night of the wedding we stayed in a suite and even received strawberries and champagne. The Moonrise is such a fabulous and fun hotel! We will definitely be back!”
