It’s set to be a spectacular weekend in Forest Park. It’s finally time for everyone’s favorite start-of-fall events – the Great Forest Park Balloon Race and Balloon Glow! We get extra excited each year for this classic St. Louis balloon festival, thanks to the fact that our unique boutique hotel is just around the corner from the park, so we get an out-of-this-world view of the balloons and fireworks from our rooftop bar.
This year, we’re celebrating the beginning of Balloon Race weekend with a pre-event party on the rooftop featuring Plantation Rum!
Paint The Town Red At The Plantation Rum Rooftop Party!
Float up to the rooftop bar this Friday, September 14 from 5 pm til 7 pm to unwind from the work week, relax and enjoy a few delightful, handcrafted specialty cocktails featuring Plantation Rum before heading over to the Balloon Glow in the park. In addition to specialty cocktails, we’ll also be hosting a tasting booth, were you can sample the different varieties of Plantation rums and decide which potable pleases your palate the most. The booth and official party last from 5 until 7, but we’ll be serving up the featured cocktails all night long.
If you’re not planning to watch the Balloon Glow in the park, stick around and spend your entire evening on our rooftop far above the crowds. While you might not be able to spot the majestically glowing balloons (they don’t take to the air until Saturday), you’ll still have a fabulous view of the post-Glow fireworks show beginning at 9:30 that evening.
The fun doesn’t stop after Friday ends, though! Come back up to the rooftop bar when it opens at 3 pm to watch as dozens of hot air balloons float out of the park and across our fair city. With a cold drink in your hand, a tasty bite off our rooftop menu in front of you and a stellar view of the beautiful balloons, it’ll be a September Saturday to remember.
