We blasted into 2018 in style here at the Moonrise boutique hotel! January was pretty chilly, but all the fantastic reviews our guests left for us had us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Visitors loved our unique wedding reception venues, fabulous corporate event venues and the fact that we have the best rooftop dining St. Louis has to offer. “Fun hotel in great neighborhood” 5 of 5 stars
“This is one of my favorite hotels. The property itself is quiet, comfortable, clean and fun. The theme isn’t overbearing, more light-hearted. Neighborhood near Washington U had lots of the kind of restaurants you’d expect to find in a college area. Plus Hotel is short walking distance to the light rail to STL and downtown. Highly recommended.”

“Perhaps it is because the Moonrise is not well known outside of St. Louis that it can retain its vintage cool. This is not the kind of place to hurry through. Take the extra minutes to explore the 50 and 60’s era showcases of space travel and sci-fi. Go up to the rooftop for the view. And, eat at the Eclipse! This is a Hotel worth revisiting and to try to find similar lodging elsewhere. Blast off!”

“This was a getaway weekend for us, paired up with a terrific concert at the Pageant, next door. From the moment we pulled up to the valet, to the languid hour at breakfast, it was exactly what we needed.
I travel a good deal with business, and have been exposed to quite a number of hotels. This one rates very well, given the friendly staff, immaculate lobby and room, contemporary furnishings with a bit of Whimsy, and the rooftop bar.
Breakfast the next morning was outstanding, to the point that we decided to return for brunch and another overnight stay in the near future. One reviewer called it a “dump”. Perhaps a competitor trying to discourage interest, as it’s anything but. Keep it up Moonrise; we enjoyed our stay, and can’t wait to return.”

“Fun Hotel” 5 of 5 stars
“This hotel was on my bucket list. I loved every part of it! Clean, quiet, nice employees! The bed was very cozy, loved the fainting chair in the room. The mixed drink you get when you register was good! I would like all hotels to do that. I would stay again in the warmer months to enjoy the outside.”

“Wonderful Stay” 5 of 5 stars
“This hotel was perfect. We were attending a show at the Pageant and this was right next door. The location couldn’t have been any better. Upon check in we were given a free cocktail, which was delicious. The room was spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was super nice, the shower was excellent and the soaps provider were so relaxing. They also provide you with some of the softest robes I have ever seen. We also visited to rooftop bar, which was pricey but the drinks were delicious. The staff was very friendly during our stay. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it to anyone. The location is also in the delmar loop so there is plenty of shopping and restaurants to try out.”

“Funky , hip hotel. Stayed in the Buddy Epson suite , large and spacey enough. Nice view of city , Nice bed , little hard , pillows galore. Large bathroom , whole suite pkg was nice. Hotel restaurant was nice , rooftop bar very nice. All staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful! Suggestions for nearby eateries by staff were spot on. Loved Pi Pizzeria. Just an overall nice little downtown area. Definitely would visit again and stay at Moonrise Hotel.”

“What an amazing hotel. The owner and designers paid special attention to every detail, even down to the bathroom sink stopper! “When I have to be in the Lou( usually 3-4 times a year ) I always stay at the Moonrise. The staff and amenities are second to none. The restaurant isn’t afraid of spicing things up and truly understands that most of its guests are tired and seeking a bit of comfort in their dining. As a professional traveler, I would recommend the Moonrise to anyone who knows the difference between affectation and class.”
