There’s a lot of buzz on the Delmar Loop these days – not to mention a lot of digging, hammering and all-around machining, too!
Crews are hard at work laying down tracks for the new Loop Trolley, which is scheduled to open in late 2016 and will connect University City with Forest Park. But don’t let all of our construction fool you; the Loop is still very much open for business!
Even though street parking is prohibited in construction zones, there’s still ample parking available to Loop visitors. In the University City portion of the Loop, parking is available in the city-owned parking garage; between Chipotle and the Tivoli theatre; and in parking lots north of Delmar behind the commercial development. In the St. Louis city portion of the Loop, parking is available in a large park-and-ride lot next to the MetroLink station, a large parking lot north of commercial development on Delmar Boulevard, on a few small retail lots and on the street.
We recommend allowing extra time in your commute to the Loop for finding parking, especially on evenings and weekends.
Valet parking is also available for Moonrise Hotel and Eclipse Restaurant patrons and special events!
Not only is the Loop open for business, we’re celebrating it! Be sure to check out these upcoming events:
