“I’m an admin for a local (to STL) commercial real estate firm. Last night we hosted a broker event at the Moonrise Hotel. The experience was perfect. The staff went above and beyond – gracious, helpful, and nearly clairvoyant to our needs.
Prior to the event I worked with the Catering Sales Manager, Krista Johnson, who was not only organized and accommodating, but also took care of some very needy last minute requests. What a professional!
During the event, Kevin (didn’t catch his last name) managed everything seamlessly, even reminding me of the music that was supposed to have been playing. I got to look like a genius in front of my boss because Kevin had everything running so smoothly. He was ridiculous good.
If you are considering visiting or hosting an event at the Moonrise Hotel, I could not recommend another place highly enough!”

This was my third time staying at The Moonrise. Once I discovered this convenient, accommodating, wonderful hotel on the Delmar Loop in St. Louis I knew I wouldn’t ever stay anywhere else when visiting my son at the nearby University. The hotel has a unique look, spacious rooms and suites and friendly helpful staff. The rooftop bars are a great place for happy hour or an after dinner drink and we enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Eclipse restaurant. I look forward to staying here again and again!

We decided to stay at the Moonrise Hotel while visiting Saint Louis based on positive reviews alone. We took a chance and are glad we did! This is a fantastic hotel. I am upset at myself for having stayed in the city several times and never having stayed here before. The hotel is clean, in a great location, it is very trendy, and has an awesome rooftop bar. I don’t always sleep well in hotels but I slept very well here at the Moonrise Hotel. On future visits to the city we will definitely be staying here again.

“Fun from the front door” 5 out of 5 stars
Lots of moon memorabilia in the lobby and themed moon pictures in the room. Quality toiletries, cloud soft beds, free Wifi, plenty of pillows and towels, fitness center and on-site food and rooftop bar. Most importantly, the staff are so enthusiastic and cheerful you feel like you might be in orbit! Great location too.

The complimentary cocktail at check-in was unexpected, but fabulous! Every worker we met was courteous and conversational. Not to mention the sweet bar on the roof and the bartender who makes a fabulous old-fashioned.

We ran across this hotel by accident and were extremely delighted with everything about it. The bell hop was very helpful and informative. The theme is whimsical, the decor is outstanding, the on site restaurant provided a breakfast that far surpassed my expectations. The roof top view is breathtaking and the outdoor furniture is beautiful.

This is the most spectacular hotel I’ve been in. It’s eclectic, well decorated, and super chic! I love the rooftop restaurant and view! Wow, this is a treat to stay here. my favorite hotel to date!

“We live in U City and found ourselves in need of last minute accommodations – with two cats, I might add – due to a malfunctioning boiler (right as temps dropped to 20 degrees at night). Even though the Moonrise website and toll free reservation number said they were completely booked, my husband suggested we drop in in person and I’m so glad we did — they were able to offer us a room that evening with a tentative opportunity for the next night (when they really were full) – turns out, they had two cancellations and so we got to stay. In fact, we had to be at the Moonrise for four nights (until a new boiler was installed in our home) and found the hotel to be incredibly clean and service oriented – staff are friendly and accommodating, personable, and professional. It has been a pleasure to be able be here even as we have been unexpectedly and unfortunately displaced from our home.
I highly recommend this hotel, especially for people looking for a pet friendly experience – upon check in, we were given a litter box, food/water bowls, cat treats and toys, and cute Moonrise bandanas (a bit better for dogs than cats). They really seem to enjoy meeting their guests’ needs and providing a thoughtful, positive experience for all.
I want to particularly thank Kelli at the front desk – she continually went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. She’s terrific!!”
