That’s why we’re extra excited for this year’s annual Snow Ball and Ice Carnival in the Delmar Loop. All your favorite icy activities are making their return to the Moonrise rooftop – and you won’t want to miss a minute of it! Snowball: Jan. 18, 2019
If you’ve ever attended a Snow Ball at the Moonrise before, you know it’s “snow” joke! Join us on Friday, January 18, to kick off the Ice Carnival weekend at the coolest party this side of the North Pole.
Although Ice Carnival is kid-friendly, this party is for guests 21+ only. The festivities will run from 8 pm til 2 am in our rooftop Twilight Room, a unique event space unlike any other. But it’s more than just a good time – it’s a charity event that benefits Operation Food Search, a local nonprofit that feeds over 200,000 people in need in our community every single month. Admission price is two canned goods/non-perishables or a $5 donation, which will also get you a ticket redeemable for one of our signature Snowball cocktails!
OR, enjoy a cosmically cool dinner beforehand in our Eclipse restaurant and save your receipt for free entry to Snow Ball on the rooftop.
Between a live DJ spinning hot beats to keep you warm, delicious signature drink specials, and the coolest crowd in St. Louis, it’ll be love at frost sight.
Ice Carnival 2019: Jan. 19 – 20, 2019
Ice, ice, baby, *dun dun dun dun da da dum dum*. The frozen fun will keep rolling like an avalanche into Saturday and Sunday with the Delmar Loop Ice Carnival!
Bundle up and bring the whole family to the Loop for this two-day festival featuring ice sculptures and live ice carving demonstrations, ice slides, wintery games for the kids, carnival rides, wacky trike races and much more! You can even join the hunt for $1,000 in dollar coins frozen into ice cubes that will be hidden up and down the St. Louis Walk of Fame. Check out all the details on the Delmar Loop’s website.
Best of all, though, is the fun we’ve got planned back up on the Moonrise rooftop. Come up and watch Skateboards in the Sky, the yearly display of skateboarding skills on our half-pipe beneath the moon. Kids are welcome to join in on the fun with an adult’s signature and supervision. Of course, our DJ will be back blasting chill beats to set the mood while they shred the pipe (is that cool skateboard slang?). Guests 21+ will receive a free welcome drink featuring Ketel One Pamplemousse & Rose Vodka and a free shot of Smirnoff Pineapple or Smirnoff Sour Berry from a shot luge! We’ll also be serving up complimentary hot chocolate and tomato bisque to warm you up from the inside out. Finally, guests can snap a pic in front of our free photobooth backdrop for a freezeframe of a perfect day!
Finally, 4Hands Brewery will be hosting a Tap Takeover featuring several of their delicious limited release stouts on the rooftop all weekend long.
