While we’re quite smitten with the cosmos, we also love our own planet, Earth. And, since we are a leading eco-friendly hotel in the St. Louis region, Earth Day is a pretty big deal here at the Moonrise Hotel. And, it’s coming right up!
Each year, St. Louis Earth Day plans amazing events to make the city greener. And this year, they’re expanding the celebration to be two days of fun!
St. Louis Earth Day
Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23
11:00 am – 5:00 pm

This year’s event will include two days and two stages of out of this world entertainment. Catch musical and performance acts on the Earth Day Stage and Community Stage. Then visit various vendor booths for educational programming, relax in the Peace Garden, and select a Green Dining Alliance partner or approved vendor for a delicious and earth-friendly snack.
Two free shuttles will help you arrive at the St. Louis Earth Day festivities every 15 minutes starting at 9:30 am and ending at 6:30 pm. One will depart from the St. Louis Community College parking lot and is provided by the Lambert International Airport biodiesel bus and Super Park compressed natural gas bus. The second shuttle will be departing from the Forest Park/DeBaliviere MetroLink station.
Don’t miss these awesome programs!
Watch Circus Flora’s Claire the Clown juggle, perform acrobatics and feats of balance, and entertain guests. Don’t miss this stellar performance, you’ll have a few opportunities: 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm at the Community Stage Pavilion.
Fashion Revolution Ethical Fashion Show

Come hungry and grab a snack
Find a snack from some of our Green Dining Alliance friends and Loop neighbors: Mission Taco Joint or Salt+Smoke. Or find another favorite on the list of featured food vendors.
Discovery: Animals, Nature & Science
There are lots of opportunities to learn about Earth, preservation and animals, including an out of this world “Be Like An Astronaut!” exhibit from the Saint Louis Space Frontier. You can find out your weight on the moon and find out about our space program’s impact on recycle, renew and reuse.
And that’s just the start of this amazing event. Find more events, exhibits, vendors and performances on the official St. Louis Earth Day website.
