Thanks to the moon landing 45 years ago, a love of all things space-related ignited a generation, including our very own fearless leader, Joe Edwards. If it weren’t for Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Mike Collins making intergalactic history on July 20, 1969, we don’t know if your favorite St. Louis boutique hotel would be here!
For the anniversary, Aldrin is trying to awaken that same passion for space travel and exploration in another generation. He has been using the hashtag #Apollo45 on Twitter to garner attention as well as launching a YouTube channel filled with celebrity interviews and people like us sharing their memories and congratulations regarding the landing.
Maybe for their next historical feat, Buzz and the gang could walk on the largest manmade moon on Earth! We’ll grab a ladder.
