This Sunday, July 20th marks the 45th anniversary of the moon landing. We previously mentioned how to learn more about this online through Buzz Aldrin’s social media campaign, but we’re celebrating here on the moon too!
This giant step for mankind inspired our fearless leader, Joe Edwards, to develop a fascination for space and specifically, the Apollo 11 moon landing. His collection of artifacts consists of rare memorabilia from the astronauts who visited the moon themselves, and he wants to share them with the space loving folks of St. Louis!
Start your Sunday afternoon anniversary celebration with a self-guided Space Walk on the Delmar Loop Planet Walk. Following your tour, head into the stellar Moonrise Hotel to see the world’s largest revolving moon, snack on complimentary moon-cheese plates and sip on our specialty Apollo 11 cocktail.
Attire can be casual, but we recommend searching your closet and dry-cleaning your finest space suit!
